1️⃣ Prepare the Area

• Move furniture aside

• Cover the floor

• Turn off switches nearby

• Tape wall edges for safety

A neat workspace makes the process smoother.

2️⃣ Peel the Vinyl Top Layer

Vinyl wallpaper has two layers — peel the top waterproof layer first.
Start at a corner; if it doesn’t lift easily, use a scraper gently.

3️⃣ Soak the Paper Backing

Make a removal solution:

• Warm water + liquid soap, or

• Warm water + fabric softener (50/50)

Spray/sponge it over the backing. Let it soak 10–15 minutes until soft.

4️⃣ Scrape Gently

Use a plastic scraper to lift the wet paper.
Hold at a 30–45° angle to avoid wall damage.

Continue soaking → scraping → wiping.

5️⃣ Clean the Wall

After removing all layers:

• Wipe leftover glue

• Use warm soapy water

• Rinse with a damp cloth

• Let dry completely
